Transformer Monitoring

Early insight into the condition of your transformers.

Expertise for your application.

Build a clearer picture of transformer condition with continuous monitoring of thermal and insulation performance. Rugged Monitoring combines sensors, edge devices and asset software to help identify changes that need attention.

Fibre-optic temperature sensing provides direct, accurate measurement in demanding high-voltage environments, improving visibility of transformer thermal performance and supporting loading, reliability and asset-life decisions. Equinox supports these technologies for individual transformers and wider fleets across Africa.

Rugged Monitoring / Doble-Megger

Technology in context.

Rugged Monitoring combines sensors, local acquisition and asset software to track transformer condition across individual units or a fleet.

Monitoring and testing throughout the lifecycle

Transformer assessment brings together online temperature and condition monitoring with offline electrical tests. Explore the related instrument ranges for winding measurements, current/voltage transformer tests, insulation diagnostics, dissolved-gas analysis and partial-discharge assessment.

Watch the critical components

Monitoring can combine winding temperature, bushing condition, partial discharge, tap-changer behaviour and cooling performance. Dissolved-gas information adds another view of insulation condition.

Connect the operating history

Edge devices collect time-aligned measurements for local analysis and RM EYE. Historical records and alarms help teams compare changing condition with operating context.

Complement monitoring with transformer tests

Megger TRAX, TTRU3 and FRAX support planned transformer investigations, while the Expert S1 range adds insulation-resistance testing. Select offline tests to investigate condition changes alongside the continuous monitoring programme.
