Rugged switchgear monitoring combines thermal, insulation and operating measurements for air-insulated and gas-insulated equipment.
Online monitoring and offline diagnostics
Monitor installed switchgear while it is operating and use planned outages for electrical testing. Temperature, partial-discharge and breaker-condition information complement insulation, timing and circuit-breaker tests.
Follow the relevant failure mechanisms
Monitoring can cover busbar hot spots, partial discharge and breaker operating condition. Gas-density measurements are relevant where SF6-insulated equipment is present; the sensor arrangement should reflect the actual switchgear construction.
Connect local evidence to the fleet
Sensors and edge acquisition can support new installations or retrofits. Local measurements, historical trends and RM EYE integration provide different levels of visibility for operating and asset teams.
